Rooted in our Legacy. Building our Future.

For more than 160 years, Sherwin-Williams has called Northeast Ohio home. From our earliest days on the banks of the Cuyahoga River to our position today as a global leader in paints and coatings, our story has always been shaped by the people and communities around us.

Our Global Headquarters in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, and the Morikis Global Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio, reflect our deep commitment to this region. These buildings are more than just places to work – they are long-term investments in the future of our Company, our people and the communities we serve.

Supporting Northeast Ohio’s Growth and Vitality

Together, these projects, part of our Building Our Future initiative, represent a minimum construction investment of $860 million in Northeast Ohio. Throughout the planning and building process, we worked closely with local leaders and community stakeholders to ensure our presence continues to support the region’s growth and vitality. We partnered with workforce development organizations to help create jobs and expand training opportunities, and we prioritized local hiring and engagement to ensure these projects benefit the communities around them. Together, these facilities now support more than 4,000 employees — helping to sustain jobs and economic activity in the region for decades to come.

Throughout the project, we made a deliberate commitment to work with small businesses across Northeast Ohio to ensure local companies played a meaningful role in Building Our Future. We also partnered with workforce development organizations and trade partners, helping connect local talent to training and career opportunities while celebrating the individuals who helped bring these projects to life.

Looking forward, the City of Cleveland estimates the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) will receive approximately $4M in additional annual revenue from Sherwin-Williams. Additionally, Sherwin-Williams will continue to work with local and state partners to help fund projects targeted at developing STEM career pathways and exposure for local students.

A Revitalized Skyline Adds Energy and Opportunity

In Cleveland, our headquarters stands as a new landmark on the city’s skyline – a symbol of our continued belief in the power of this city and its people. The campus was designed to connect with the heart of downtown, creating new energy and opportunity in the surrounding neighborhood and reinforcing our role as a civic and economic partner.

In Brecksville, the Morikis Global Technology Center brings together more than 900 scientists, engineers and technicians in a space built for innovation. Strengthening our presence in the region and supporting the development of next-generation coatings technologies, the facility is one of the largest global technology hubs in Northeast Ohio.

A Legacy That Looks Forward

As we look to the future, we pay homage to our past. Our new spaces celebrate the legacy of those who built Sherwin-Williams. What’s more, they honor our history while investing in the innovation, talent and partnerships that will shape our next chapter.

We’re proud to grow here, and we’re proud to call this region home.
